Description
When: June 6, 2020
Where: Faunapark Flakkee Nieuwe-Tonge, The Netherlands
These Weasels are solitary, so the female and male don't share the same enclosure. Knowing one's on the left, and the other on the right, helps you tell apart the two different faces. I take this broader face to be the male, but I'm not 100% sure.
Species: Siberian Weasel (Siberische wezel)
Latin name: Mustela Sibirica
Originates from Asia.
Current status: Least Concern
Did you know:
…Siberian Weasels are widely distributed, so IUCN lists them as Least Concern. This doesn’t mean they are free from harm – their fur is very popular. They are not kept in furfarms, but hunted in the wild.
