Nice map.
Revanchist movement similar to fascist ideologies would exist in France and Italy after this war?

Hey Moxn,
I like your maps but there needs to be a small fix in your maps, see the two images in my link.

not to bother you, but i was checking the position of iceland and jan mayen in google maps and they look kinda weird here

Never a bother, I'm always looking for areas to improve. With Iceland and Jan Mayern, I believe it's an issue with the different map projections used. Google Maps uses Mercator, while this is a modified Miller projection, causing the polar regions to be distorted in different ways. Part of the issue is also Greenland appearing somewhat further north than usually depicted, making Iceland stand out more in comparison.Β

Samoa is in the wrong place, it should be more to the west where those bright green islands are.

I'm not sure how you mean? The bright green islands should be Samoa itself.

There is a Higher resolution Victoria 2 map out there. It is a 11232x4320 version, and I was wondering if you ever do the same thing to that map. I use the higher res version rather than the 5616x2160 version because it looks nicer with more pixels. If you want to find it, it is on the Pop Demand Mod Wikia.

I respect that. Your work on this vic2 map is amazing. I've always wanted to have a map with the northern parts on it and to be displayed correctly at the equator. Thank you for making this.

Interesting...do you have a blank version? As in without colours...I think it might be of some use.

Hi. Do you mind if I use this map as a base for a map for my video? Also, where did you get this color scheme?
π: 0 β©: 1
moxn In reply to EntrerrianoMaps [2017-05-31 04:42:06 +0000 UTC]
You may. Can I ask what the video will be about? For the most part, the color scheme comes from the Paradox games, specifically Victoria II. For some countries the colors were slightly changed to make it flow better. For countries that weren't in the original map and which I had to add in myself, I tried to use whatever colors looked best.Β

The map is actually for a mapping series. I'm not sure if you know what that is, but basically I want to make an "Alternative History of Europe" series. I want to modify your map to make it a 1914 world map.

Can I use this as a template for something of my own?

You may, of course. I do not own the rights to the original map from Victoria II, even though I've made some significant additions and changes to it. May I ask what you'd like to use it for?

Trieste is italian and not Slovenia, btw Victoria 2 provinces aren't very goof

moxn In reply to FrankCesco [2017-04-09 19:14:02 +0000 UTC]
I usually ignore the default provinces and draw in new ones, but I figured I would leave them intact for this version of the map. Someone else had pointed Trieste out before, and I thought I had fixed it. It's hard to get things to look right with the scale of the map. How does this look for a fix?Β i.imgur.com/C4SSzs0.png

There are some mistakes on your map, like Niger who don't an access to the Chad Lake or St. Pierre-et-Miquelon who isn't French.

Well, Queen Charlotte islands aren't part of US but of Canada
Vorarlberg isn't Swiss but Austrian
Martinique is french and Saint Lucia is independent and not the opposite
Isle Royale and Drummond Island (in the Great Lakes) are American and not Canadian
SΓ£o TomΓ© and PrΓncipe and Equatorial Guinea are two different countries
Friuli-Venezia Giulia is italian and not slovenian
