Description
An image from my studio series. These images are based on opposing objects that contrast each-other but when put together relate well. Another aspect of my studio work is I'm trying for a clean crisp look.Images made with a D70, and two flashes. Minimal adjustments have been made in photoshop.

me love coffee . . . me love picture . . . but maybe ( i don't even know if this is possible!) the beans in the middle could have been just a little more clearly defined? that way it would have a better "disappear into the cup" look to it? . . . but me love picture . . . me need coffee now

I'm not a technical photography critic in any way, shape or form, so I'll leave that to people who know that sort of stuff.
I love the composition. There's a lot of movement and the contrasting message between a "static" object (the coffee beans) and liquid movement (of spilt coffee) is phenomenal. The muted colour scheme helps give the piece a lot of contrast and drama. The cool greys of the table (?), cup and background recede while the warm golden-brown beans come forward, almost spilling into the viewer's lap!

not a bad photo
I'm not sure exactly how, but i would try to consider how making the cup look a little different. it has a shape, but it kind of lacka form. Maybe by turning it would give it a little more depth. It just seems kinda out of place without having a little more to it.
