Description Unlike Stratus, I've never made a proper version of Shadow. Nari Varayana is the pilot for this Craft.

Shadow is the codename given by Nari after he acquired this Craft. This Heavy Artillery Craft Series 10 (HAC - 10), has a right arm rifle port, and the unit is built for heavy recoil and endurance, which allows it to carry missiles and a heavy artillery rifle.

After Nari acquired this Craft and was not able to sell it to an arms dealer. He later adapts this Craft as his main and replaces the previous rifle attachment on Shadow, which was damaged during the raid. The new rifle is a custom nameless attachment designed by Winston - Nari's engineer. The rifle has been known to hit targets over 21 km, and shoots standard tank shells with slight modifications.

The Shadow can replace its lower legs with land tracks and be converted into a FORTRESS class Craft. The legs and arm + rifle port can be replaced by flight capable attachments and parachutes and be converted into a VALKYRIE class Craft.

Nice and playable, would work great in a mecha anime and as merchandise. Should make a great toy.

So this is the sniper guy's Mech? looking very solid and versatile.

Just an input. 155mm cannon can hit target at 10km and some of them can hit target at 30km. So i think you should increase the sniper's range.

Ok will do. I don't know too much about weaponry and I was hoping someone would give me some input about that

Thank you sir

No problem. I'm also still learning to improve my knowledge. It's quite surprising indeed when knowing what current military technology is capable of.

Really great mech design. The upper body looks great, particularly the HUGE ASS RIFLE *drool*.
Not so crazy about the lower body. The crotch is pretty bulgy, though I suppose that would be more realistic. Also, the feet seem too small to support a gun that powerful.
Great color scheme though. Black and Gold is THE BEST of all possible color combinations.
Can't wait to see the finished product!

Yeah I wasn't sure about the lower body part either, especially the feet like you just said. I actually did the leg design twice and was only satisfied with the second attempt. This unit is ofc not built for speed and I explain in the bottom part that the leg parts can be replaced with tracks, which I will include later on in the sketch (If I do get it finished). That track should provide this unit with the mobility if it were to be put on the front lines, and the ability to hold a massive rifle. However this leg design is for "landed operations" meaning aerial drop to specific locations where this unit sets up camp and provide artillery fire. The feet and legs actually adjusts and transforms into a stand for a sniper nest. That was the intended function of this feet design but I'm still not that satisfied with it for reasons you've already stated. I just have a thing for thin mechs : /

Anyway sorry for the rant, and thanks for the advice

Hey, rant away. It's good to see that you put so much thought into the design of the components.I find that in mecha, the why can be just as cool as the what.

Dude, this is beyond cool. All the articulation, and detail lines are well done. Unlike Gundam, this is semi-realistic, (or as realistic as a mobile suit can get)
But, Gundam is the only mech show I've seen, so maybe its inaccurate.
Anyway, this thing seems to be much more generalized than Gundam, as he has one obvious weapon, reload clips, on his left arm?, and I think that's a missile tube on his left shoulder? Anyway, as opposed to Gundam being lazors coming out of absolutely EVERYWHERE *cough*Freedom*cough* this mech seems to be a standalone heavy artillery unit.
I like it.

Thank you . I started out my mech designs from gundams like most mecha designers, and you can still see the lingering humanoid influence - but I'm trying to stay away from gundams because I find them to be highly unrealistic as time goes on. I try to get my influence now from the mecha game series Armored Core and also other designers on DevArt that focuses upon non-humanoid designs.

Personally Freedom is one of my least favourite Gundam and I really hate its overpowering laser weapons. Anyway thanks again for the comment
