Ha! Mecha silliness.Just something that came from playing around with colours.
Couple of hours, PS CS4.

Man, this mecha has so much personality to them. Its puny little head that leads to an enormous, hunched over body that's coupled with two fat arms at its side? I can just imagine it taking very slow and deliberate steps as it's directed where to go.
The red is also really striking and I love the brush work.

I really like the shape of the mech! it does definitely convey a sense of bulk and proportion to the machine following the lady, the width of the wrist plating really gives it the huge proportionality needed to give that impression of bulk which you've done really well as well as the rounded width of the shoulder/back part which also adds to it. I also like the style of the art piece, i'm always stuck trying to make things look good with hours of realistic detail but good this kinda thing looks so much better with it's simplicity of shading.. I'm jealous

That's too precise in some details to be just "playing around with colors", but not finished enough to be a solid piece. Why not finish it?

A piece of artwork does not have to be detailed or 100% polished to make sense or communicate a narrative. In fact i think it takes even more skill to know that you have achieved enough to leave a piece at this stage. Its a beautiful painting, i wish i could achieve so much through so little like this.
