A friend of mine asked me to do a drawing for his Spider-Man sketch book. He said I could draw either Black Cat or Green Goblin. Believe it or not, this is the one I'm NOT doing for the book. The Green Goblin, though not as hot as the Black Cat, will be a more interesting drawing. Plus, I'm the first non-pro comic artist in the book. How can I pass up doing Spider-Man's greatest villain?

This drawing happened by accident while trying to figure out Green Goblin. Hopefully this'll get me out of the artist's block one gets when confronted with someone else's sketchbook. I mean, once I put something down, it's there. Three guys before me threw some very nice drawings down in ink and Sharpie on a convention floor. I can't be in there bumbling around with all sorts of erasure.

And while this Black Cat may be the most ridiculously proportioned female I have ever drawn (would she make a Barbie doll jealous, disgusted, or simply confused?), I think I did my best not to make her all boob. They're definitely THERE, but hopefully your eye doesn't go straight for them. I wanted to do a Black Cat that was actually cat-like. Catwoman is almost always drawn in cat-like poses, but Black Cat is drawn as more of a runway model/porn star, at least she was in the reference drawing I had. It's them boobs, I tells ya!
