Angela, Lady of House Morgan, was out for a stroll one warm, breezy afternoon. Her daughter, Rosemary, cradled her new baby brother in her arms. The young, red-haired girl was deep in thought. Finally, she broke the silence.
"Mum?"
"Yes, Rosemary dear?"
"I think ah know where Damon came from."
Angela raised an eyebrow, nearly making it disappear into her greyed bangs. "I cannae wait to hear it, lass."
"He came from a pumpkin patch! See how his hair looks like a wee little stalk? We should leave him in the sun an' see if he turns orange!"
Angela laughed and tousled her daughter's fiery curls. "Aye, you leave him in the sun, and I'll make ye stand right there with him. You'll both be red as beets instead!"

I really love this, I'm glad I commissioned it. Even with her greyed bangs, I still think Angela looks quite lovely as the Lady of House Morgan.

Follow-ups to the epilogues? You've opened Pandora's Box!

Every time I do one of these, someone comments like it's the first one I did. There have been a few, some even multiple follow-ups to the same epilogue.
You're totally right about Pandora's Box, though. But I'm enjoying these, too. I can work outside the (self-imposed) constraints of the epilogues and focus mostly on the drawing. You'll notice how brief the story was this time around. I like the art to speak for itself sometimes.
