I shot was taken in B/W mode. Post processeng steps was:
1) Tone mapping (high value)
2) Duplicate layer and merge it with the one below in 'multiply' mode
3) Duplicate te result and high pass with and radius 8
4) Merge the background and the high passed layer in 'soft light' mode

If the work satisfy you, then stop here. Otherwise
1) If the picture is too dark -> another tone mapping
2) If is too light -> duplicate layer and merge in 'soft light' mode
