"It's the most wonderful time....of the year!!!!" That's right folks...FOOTBALL SEASON IS BACK!!!!!
And it wouldn't be a normal football season if I didn't do a pic to kick-off the new season! I was hoping to have this finished by opening weekend last week...but I'm still in the midst of the strangest art block I've ever had...it comes and goes when it pleases!Fortunately, I was able to ride the wave to get this one finished! This year my team captain and MVP of my own OC's gets the nod, as it's none other than Nikki Vetter...formerly known as Diamond, now codenamed "Elite"!
For those of you that aren't football fans, she's wearing #1 which belongs to the Quarterback (the guy that throws the ball), Cam Newton. Cam Newton was the number one draft pick as well as rookie of the year last season, breaking nearly EVERY rookie record that was to be broken. Not only has he proven that he can throw the ball effectively, but he was a scoring threat with his feet, as he is a big (for a quarterback), fast guy that is very elusive!

Pretty cool, huh? Notice how Cam would act like Superman opening his shirt whenever he would run one in for a touchdown. Well, that was the inspiration behind this drawing. I thought it would be cool to see Nikki do that with her symbiote and reveal the Diamond underneath...although that would've looked more like she was flashing folks!
So, I showed her wearing a Cam Newton jersey underneath her symbiote! ...although I do like the idea of her doing this same pose sans jersey! 
She's my superwoman!!! 
It's a new football year, and with a new year comes change. After being around for 16 years, the Panthers changed the design of their logo and the font that they use for the letters that spell out their name. You may notice that Nikki has some new details about her as well, from new lines in her symbiote, to more gadgets visible on her organic bits, to her pupil-less purple bionic right eye, to her new hairstyle (which is how I always meant for her hair to look like when worn in a ponytail), and of course with her new moniker. It was time to shake things up a bit with her design, as she was a bit plain. Although my block is so bad to where I can't even write a grocery list, I've been playing with the idea of even revamping her whole storyline up!
So what the Panthers lost the first game of the season...there's nowhere to go but up!!! This is my battle flag and I'm ready for another season of awesome action; I especially hope that my Panthers make it to the playoffs and on to the Super Bowl to finally win the big one!!!
LET'S GO PANTHERS!!!!Sorry non-sports fans...now back to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress!

Thanks! I can't say I'm much on doing Fan Arts of DC or Marvel babes...as much as I love many of those characters there of 50 Gazillion fan arts of characters like She Hulk, Power Girl, Rogue, etc.
And I'm VERY partial and biased to my stable of original characters that I've created! 
And if you think about it...all of those Marvel and DC babes were at one time original characters as well!

I dont know.. he may do big things this year again.. But i still expect My Falcons to bring it home this year for the division .. if New Orleans play against Washington was any indication of where they might be heading.

As long as Cam plays like he did today against the Aints, I think he'll be alright and hopefully will beat the "sophomore slump".
As for the division, the Falcons looked good last week, but they played the Chiefs. I reserve my thoughts on them until after the MNF game against Denver tomorrow. Tampa looked really good against us last week, but NY came back from behind and took the wind out of their sails. I think it's gonna come down to ATL and Carolina (yes, I'm being biased!
I have Matt Ryan as one of my QB on one of my Fantasy teams, and I hope that he plays well (except against the Panthers) for that reason! But I've got Cam as my QB for my second team, and I would love to see him roll!

I'm also a baseball fan so I am having double the fun. I have football on the big screen tv and baseball playing on my laptop when games are on at the same time

As soon as football season comes around, I usually tune baseball season out...although I would like to see the Braves continue to do well and make it to the World Series!

I am a huge Yankees fan so I stay with them as far as they go. Other than that, if they are out early in the playoffs or don't make the playoffs, I am done with baseball. I usually follow b-ball a little until after the all star game, then I am in all the way.

I usually get more excited about college basketball than I do NBA...I'm a huge North Carolina Tar Heels fan and have been since '93. Unfortunately, all of their really good players have gone to the NBA, so they're probably gonna suck this year...it happens.
The NBA just started getting good again to me...for years it was rather boring and lackluster. Plus, I just haven't been able to get into it since they took my CHARLOTTE HORNETS (not Charlotte Bobcats or N.O. Hornets) away from me. I don't have a team anymore...I kinda pull for the Hawks since I live in ATL now, and I refuse to pull for the awful Bobcats! I really like OKC and the Nuggets however.
And like you with football...I'm in from week 1 to the SB! And I love college football Saturdays as well, where I'm a South Carolina Gamecocks football fan!
