One of the "inmates" in the bar maze- the black lit room in the Psycho Manor at the Haunted Forest in American Fork, Utah.This is Heather, one of the most animated actors you will find at the Haunted Forest. She had the idea of painting her face with stripes to match the bars in the bar maze- it actually looked pretty cool- gotta do some more of this soon!

So what's the storyline of Psycho Manor and the Haunted Forest?

The haunt that I work for during the Halloween season is The Haunted Forest- it's a huge outdoor haunt that actually winds the visitors through a real forest, filled with all kinds of creepy goodness along the way. Takes about 45 minutes to walk through. The Psycho Manor is the smaller indoor portion of the haunt, takes maybe 10 minutes to go through. It was supposed to be sort of a "Bates Motel" theme, but last year it was more of an "insane asylum" theme. Fun stuff, I love working there!

Very cool! She did a great job with the makeup. The black light rooms in haunted houses is always a fun place to watch other people's reactions, as their clothes and eyes tend to glow.

I'm not sure. How much does it cost? It will have to be on a night I don't have my daughter. Is it as scary?

It costs $20 for a combo pass, which gets you in to the Haunted Forest as well as the Psycho Manor. I personally don't think it is scarier than RPHH used to be, but it is a different vibe- the Forest is all outdoors, so you are actually walking through the forest, and you go into "mineshafts" and tunnels, which really give a creepy atmosphere to the whole thing.
It's all good if you can't make it down, but if you do decide to come down, let me know in advance so I can say hello!

Yeah, seems like pretty much every haunt nowdays has to have a psycho circus or something similar- it's always fun to come up with the makeups for those rooms!!
I have no idea where they go the staight jacket!
