He is indeed. He was sad because he didn't want to leave the river where we were playing and go home. He started first grade this year, so he's just a little bigger.

Maybe it's because she didn't want her little boy to meet danger outside. I played outside sometime, but never too far from my house.

Nope it was because she was beating me with a hard wooden stick and she didn't want the neighbours to see my bruises.. But I broke the violence chain as I never ever beaten any of my two lovely twins sons (they'll be 27 years old next 29th November) it's strange that I say it now after years since that happened...

I just tried to make this boy as sad and lonely as I can in order to make this work fits a short story, Ahkam. But when it's done, I found he's very close to my own childhood.
