Who will be a better or more convincing Joker than Heath Ledger?I must have seen Batman the Dark Knight just before I decided to open Photoshop and draw this one in almost one session. The idea came after I saw a small panel in Batman #1, Spring 1940 where the Joker makes one of his very first then-frightening-and-now-classic appearances. The original was by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. Mine was done in October 2008 on a A3 (29,7 x 42cm) format in 400dpi.

Je venais certainement de voir Batman the Dark Knight juste avant de décider d'ouvrir Photoshop et de m'exécuter en quasiment une seule session. L'idée est venue après avoir vu une petite case de Batman #1, Printemps 1940, où le Joker fait l'une de ses premières apparitions, qui certainement inquiétantes à l'époque sont maintenant classiques. L'original est de Bob Kane et Jerry Robinson, la mienne est datée d'octobre 2008 et rentre dans un format A3 (29,7 x 42cm) en 400dpi.

Awesome work. I love the dark humour, which is key for the Joker.I love Heath Ledger as the Joker and I think it is very different form any portail of the Joker. The Joker was always portrayed as a clown, a walking cartoon as you will. but Ledger not only made the character terrifyingly real but darker and more demented than ever. Well done.
