I'll agree with that quote there. Sometimes you have to be subtle in making people like your work.
Its a simplistic pallet of colours that works extra ordinarily well. It has a strong natural feel with it, which is really odd given the powerful geometric lines, that, while the don't dominate, do have a powerful presence the image. The texture detail adds to the image, working with the browns it stops the image from being a solid mass of colour and it keeps it varied and interesting.
