By far the scariest nightmare I have ever had. The worst being that I was wishing to die so I could wake up as fast as possible..It was a stream of images. My family in the 18th century, living in a manor on the ridge of a cliff looming over the cold sea and surrounded by a forest, we were kids. And during an afternoon running around our house we fell upon this scary lady in the painting, standing still on the cliff, facing the very window through which we were looking. A simple glimpse at the silhouette was enough to scare us. Somehow, we knew. She was coming for us, she was longing to reach and kill us. Next thing I remember from that nightmare was the rain falling during the night, our parents were not home and I was hiding, crying of terror while she had captured my brother. Her, reaching through the painting then holding a meat clever in her hand. What followed was difficult to fathom once I woke up. It was 3 am and I was terrified of going back to sleep.
