Description
Today is the 30th Anniversary of MTV's favorite teenage doofuses: "Beavis and Butt-Head". They made debut in the animated film short: "Frog Baseball" that was broadcast on "Liquid Television", MTV's animation showcase. MTV then commissioned a full series that ran for 7 seasons from 1993 to 1997. It was also revived with an 8th season in 2011 on that aired on MTV and a second revival with a 2 season order premiered on Paramount+.

During it's run on television, it received critical acclaim for its satirical, scathing commentary on society, as well as criticism for its alleged influence on adolescents (for example, the season 3 premiere episode: "Comedians" was blamed for an fire-related incident in Ohio where a 5-year-old burned down his trailer home, killing his 2-year-old sister who was sleeping in the next room. It was suggested that the boy was inspired by this episode, when Beavis and Butt-Head burn down a comedy club).

There was also various other media like a feature film: "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America" released in 1996 and a second film: "Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe" released in 2022 on Paramount+. And there also a spin-off: "Daria" that aired for 5 seasons from 1997 to 2002.
