So here she is, the new character I have been doodling for the last few days now. I just really love her design, and I hope you guys do to.
I don't have a name for her yet, for some reason I was thinking "Angie" But I'd really lke to hear what names you guys like. Unfortunately her personality has sort of yet to be fully realized, all I can really say about her for now is that she's a musician, she's going to become good friends with Leon, and that she's supposed to be a wolf, even though I'm sure most of you just thought she was a gray fox. ^^:

There's a lot of names for a character like this.
Jennifer, Amelia, Crystal, Holly, Clara, Carol, Sarah, Lynn, Natalie.

basically I like the name Angie because it used to be a nickname of mine, even if it's a girls name. XD
It sounds silly, but the name kind of has a bit of a personal connection to me.

I think the name you first brought up, Angie, is a fine name and would fit alongside friends like Candy, Sparkles, and Leon. I tried googling good wolf names but they seemed obscure or masculine.Β
The other suggestion, Amy, sounds good too. The suggestion "Ceol" meaning music is great as well. I just get this feeling that Angie Wolf sounds better than Amy Wolf and so on and so fourth.Β
Musicians have potential for being eccentric. She could have exotic habits like deciding what to do in the mourning by throwing a dart at wall of options or something.
seeing her shoes makes me wander what kind of shoes go best with shorts on small cartoon animals, I'm drawing a blank but it's probably very good as it is.Β

Yep, she is a character that can go in all sorts of routes. I imagine her being a sort of indecisive character, much like the creative process behind creating her. By that I mean we may see her wearing various outfits, or chnging back and forth between instruments, and groups of friends. She may very well be a complicated character who is an a seemingly never ending journey to discover what path life should take her.
For now she may just be Angie, the reasoning behind it actually is that the name itself is something I've wanted to use for a long time now,being that "Angie" has humorously been a nicname of mine, deriving from the name Angelo.
seeing that she and Leon will relate to each other the most, the name sort of clicked in my head.
Leon is my interpretation of myself, and Angie is probably the ideal character I would see myself being best paired up with.
Anyways, I hope some of that makes sense.

As for her personality, I've read that making stories and characters that you can relate to are very good ways of starting.Β

I love this design! It's so cool! Maybe for her personality ishe could be shy like Leon's but with a trait that sets her apart from him or something. Or you could just make her personality completely different to what she looks like, that's always fun. Β

Thanks!! Amy's not a bad name at all, my only concern is that my style tends to make people think of "Sonic" and seeing that Amy is a well established character of that franchise it may be pushing it a bit.
Or maybe I'm just overthinkining it.

Maybe, I also really like her outfit, I tried to incorporate as many minor details as I could to differentiate her from the rest of the supporting cast of the "Candy!" comics.

I suppose the effort to differentiate the character from the rest does seem to place an appealing aspect to the character. Perhaps we are all hungry for something fresh. Β Anyway, the effort seems to have been well placed.Β

Yes, I can see how that is a problem. If you change up the style of a single character, it would look out of place in the comics. Changing the style of multiple familiar characters could be seen as unpopular. Β Thus you are stuck with one style with a smaller margin for creativity. I'm going to guess that new characters unrelated to the rest done drastically different could be too much Β given the risks involved.
Anyway, you work with what you have and make the most of it so long as you need to.

I've been looking into a name and I'm willing to offer Cecilia as a possibility.
I chose this name because Β there was aΒ Β patron saint of music and musicians calledΒ Saint Cecilia.Β She wasΒ a semi-legendary 2nd- or 3rd-century martyr who was killed because of her religious beliefs.Β
