Okay so i cleaned the picture up a little bit, not that anyone will even notice. XDMy goodness, how do you guys make it look so easy?Β Β
So here it is the digital coloring! Not too shabby if I do say so myself, but don't get too comfortable now, this is probably one of the nicest pictures I'll ever make. XD

Yep, she definitely is, it's just crazy to me that amount of love and praise she's gotten.
Especially considering she was almost a rejected character that before dA I had only drawn a few times.
I guess it just goes to show that you should never give up on a good idea.

I got rid of the white spaces that was bugging everybody, myself included.

Yeah, I know it's not perfect, I'm trying my best, but I seem to be so clueless with every program I use.
For now just accept my trial and error.Β Β

It is simply a matter of perspective I suppose. To be honest, I can't use half the features available to me simply because I don't have the right equipment. What I do have (equipped Β or not) is probably simpler to use that what you have immediately available.
I've managed to get by just fine with my own trial and error so I have no doubt you will be able to figure things out. Experiment with the features and other programs and you might find something you can use more easily.

How are you doing the coloring? Β If you like I can show you my technique.

I pretty much just pasted the colors in to the spaces.Β Β
Also I'm using paint on a laptop....like a total amateur.Β

in that case, I would start with a thin outline, then fill everything with bucket tool, and then put thicker outlines on top of it. Β See if that helps!

Since you're seeking to improve, I'd recommend increasing the threshold of the fill tool you used. Β It will prevent the white lines from showing up. If that is not an option then you would have to manually color over the white. (what I originally did before knowing of the threshold options)
