Description
Bhagadatta, the king of Pragjyotishapura, (modern Assam) who was the lord of all Kiratas (mountain kings ruling the kingdoms at the foothold of the Himalayas), on his deadly elephant Supratika(or Sauptika) massacred many great warriors of Pandavas army on the 12th day of Kurukshetra war. The third Pandava, Bheem (or Bhima) the super-human came forward for combat but had to jump off his chariot when the king of elephants, the massive sized Supratika crushed his chariot and his horse, while his lord king Bhagadatta resembled Yama (the lord of death) himself..
