That filler makes me wonder if Kubo Tite had something to do with fillers? I mean, did he say: "yes, please do this. no, you absolutely can't do that".

Because here is Nanao-chan whose Zanpakuto we didn't see (in this filler she acts like she hasn't have one O_o) taking care of her captain Zanpakutos. It's really strane, you know. I mean - Zanpakuto is the very core of your soul, so what it means to Kyoraku first giving Nanao his katana to take care, and now letting her help them?
Not to mention that older Katen Kyokotsu is very much like Kyoraku, while younger one is very Nanao-ish.

Probably I'm going too far with imagination, but well...
