Description Revelation 22:1-2

1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life,
clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of
God and of the Lamb.
2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side
of the river, was there the tree of life, which
bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her
fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were
for the healing of the nations.

KJV

(Drawn for my bible study group)
When I read these verses, I had this very image pop into my head of what it may have looked like in one of John's latest visions that the angel had shown him in this passage.
I drew started drawing this about 3 days ago, having only the sketching, and started coloring it yesterday; pushing myself to finish it today (Since tomorrow's when I have to let it go on display and I only got inspiration to do it the day I sketched it).
I hope you like it~

Can you guess what the twelve fruits are? owo

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! ;u;
I appreciate that

It truly was a glorious image I got from this passage; thankfully I was able to portray it well enough with my skill level. I had fun, too. ^^ Which is always a plus.

This was really drawn well...with good perspective of shadowing, and it's traditional, I love traditional.

But I'm most curious with these 12 manner of fruits. I've also read it somewhere before, but not directly from a Bible yet. (I'm currently in the middle of finding answers to the questions in my head regarding Judgment day) I've only seen 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit...but maybe that's different.

Were they actually mentioned in the Bible? The 12 manner of fruits.

Thank you very much; I worked hard on this piece. It was very exciting to have it come out this way as I'd pictured in my head.

And, I'm glad you asked. ^^
Here in EZEKIEL 47:12-14 it puts a bit more depth to the passage in REVELATIONS 22:1-2 where it mentions the twelve manner of fruits.

EZE. 47:13-14
13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

14 And ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

Basically, his people will inherit the land he spoke of, the 'twelve manner of fruits' symbolizing the twelve tribes of Israel, which are his people, the offspring of Abraham; meaning all believers.

It's my pleasure! You really did a wonderful job with it.

I see... I've been reading lots of articles about Bibles origin and such...

And I have a lot of questions in mind. I'd really love to talk about it with another person who shares the same belief... ;///;

For example, the One True Church. For your understanding, which is the True Church of the Lord?

They're all questions out of pure curiosity and I wanna know more about it...as well as share opinions...

I hope it's alright. (ใ€‚ยดะ”โŠ‚)

No, no; I'm not bothered at all, of course I'm willing to share. ^^

I believe, from what I've learned on reading the bible and heard in my life as I grew, that the 'church' is not the place you go to on Sundays, or any sort of building.
It is rather the body of Christ; all believers make up the church as His people.
No matter where you gather, or whom you are with, you ARE the church.

Here are a couple passages where it talks about the Church:

Colossians 1:18
And He is the head of the body, the church:
who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead;ย
that in all things He might have the preeminence.

Acts 20:28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock,
over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers,
to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with His own blood.

What is your perspective on the 'church'?

Kohaya7Koizu In reply to Mrowgi [2015-11-23 14:09:55 +0000 UTC]

Ohhh yes, that is also my perspective on it. Because before my mother also told me the Church is not a physical place, rather it's when you and other fellow believers gather and worship Him together and do stuffs for His Glory.ย

I've started questioning about the Church way before, even before I started researching... because the church I used to go to doesn't give me the feeling that I'm in a church or that I'm with Him. Some people are chatting, some couples think the church place they call is a park where they can flirt with each other, some people just... you know, it feels more like a routine for them every sunday than actually going there to praise Him.ย

I also had lots of questions about the actual baptism, wherein it said baptizo is to immerse... and just because you were baptized in water, doesn't mean you're saved.

Because it is "Repent!" Then be baptized.ย
Is what I've read in articles of Verses and Passages.ย

I'm glad you don't mind

That is exactly right. ^^ I agree with that completely.

There are a lot more reasons to why I dislike the 'organized churches' as well. Just as you said, it becomes a routine for people; some even believe they are a 'christian' for going to their sunday school, church ect..

Now, on baptism, I'll try to answer as best I can.

I believe that it is not a physical baptism that saves you, such as how parents baptise their kids, and somehow they think they're saved by it even though they are not yet conscious of the true meaning to believe in Christ, and that is not how you baptize an individual; when you believe with all you heart, you are then baptized by the Holy Ghost, and may then be physically baptized.

In Acts 8:36-37, the eunuch asks Philip ''what doth hinder me to be baptized?'' and Philip said ''If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.''

In Matthew 3:11, John the baptist says,
''I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire.''

I believe it is more about the internal baptism when you've been cleansed and made new by the Holy Spirit then when you go out to physically 'immerse' yourself in front of a crowd.

I'm so sorry for the late respond!

And thank you so much for your explanation, it makes some things clear for me. I continue reading but sometimes they make me confused...

Yes, it's a really wrong belief...that if they just go to their Church every Sunday, then they'll be saved. I knew few people before who goes to Church and seems to pray sincerely but later on, when we talk I hear them curse and stuff.

Or they play and drink too much on bars...

I'm not saying anything bad about them, but I feel it's sad that the Lord seems to just become routine for them...

Oh one more thing I forgot to ask. Who do you think would be the one to baptize you physically? (I mean the immerse, after you have been baptized by the Holy Spirit)

Because it said that it doesn't have to be a Priest, a Pastor or someone on that status. But can be a person who had also repent and been baptized himself, and was born again.

What do you say about this matter?

Mrowgi In reply to Kohaya7Koizu [2015-12-12 00:11:17 +0000 UTC]

No worries; I understand getting busy. ^^
It was my pleasure! This gets me into the word a bit more, I quite enjoy our discussion.

It is sad to see people believe that; but then again, they must not actually read His word and or believe in it if they are going on without consideration of pleasing God, and obeying His words.
They know not what they do.

I don't think that any position that man has given another gives them the right of baptizing; the position that God has given them as a believer alone grants them the ability to be able to baptize others as their new brothers and sisters in Christ.
I couldn't find a particular verse that tells of a specific status one must have in order to do this, but when you believe with all your heart is when you may be baptized as a symbol of your sins being washed away.

So yes, I agree that you may be baptized by a fellow believer in Christ; nomatter the status of that person, they must first believe in their heart that Jesus is the son of God.

Do you know where I could look up these verses you found on the status of baptism?
