*Crossover ahead*
I would like to introduce Caela Shugoshakari, my wonderful OC that stood by me since 2014. I initially made her in Destiny when it came out back in 2014 and she has been my Guardian of Light in that game series until 2018 when I left Destiny 2 to pursue my PC gaming side. (Shame we couldn’t transfer console progress to PC.)
Anyways, I didn’t want to leave her behind so I always had the idea of bringing her to the anime universe one day and while it did take me a while to perfect her design as an anime character while also staying faithful to her “realistic / live action” look shown here - www.deviantart.com/mrresistanc… - I finally was able to do it and here she is. I chose to have her be a Pokémon trainer with a shiny Decidueye nicknamed “Venandi” as her ace Pokémon. Think about it people, if you’ve played the Destiny games, doesn’t Decidueye remind you of the Hunter class? On top of that, doesn’t Spirit Shackle heavily remind y’all of Shadowshot??? Even the aftereffect of the opponent not being able to escape is EXACTLY like the tether effect the Shadowshot arrows have. With all of these in mind, I knew Decidueye was the perfect choice for Caela. If I didn’t mention it, yes Caela (and myself for that matter) were mainly Hunters. The reason for Venandi being shiny was simply for prestige since Hunters are amazing. (Sorry Titans and Warlocks.)
Here’s a short back cover of how Caela made her way to the Pokémon universe:
“On one fateful day while flying her ship through space with her Ghost trying to return to Earth, a wormhole pops up in front of them and begins to pull the ship towards it like a black hole. Caela and her Ghost tried everything they could to get away from the wormhole, but at that point the ship completely lost power. Knowing that they were doomed, her Ghost sacrificed himself to ensure that the Traveler’s Light would guide her to safety somewhere out there in space and time. Next thing Caela knew, she wakes up in a hospital room still covered in her Frumious armor minus the arm grips and her helmet and is surrounded by hospital staff. Not knowing where she was and beginning to panic a little bit, she asks the doctors where is she and one of them answers, “You’re in the Unovan Hospital of Truth. You were found afloat in the Unovan Harbor unconscious by a fisherman and were brought here.” Realizing that her Ghost’s sacrifice truly did give her a second chance but also realizing that her days as a Guardian were over, she begins to cry while also muttering “Thank you...” under her breath. Not wanting to break the “order” of space and time, she doesn’t bother mentioning anything or anyone from her previous life. Instead she plays off having Amnesia but then shortly afterward begins to strike up conversations with her doctors, getting knowledge of the Unova region, other regions in this new Earth, current events, and most important, Pokémon. Intrigued, Caela learned just enough about Pokémon and what they were, what they stood for, the important role they played in this universe, and the bonds that people make with them. At this moment, a surprise visitor enters the room and reaches out to Caela. The visitor (identity to be revealed later) eventually manages to get Caela discharged from the hospital and then proceeds to bring her to Professor Juniper’s new lab where Venandi (a Rowlett at the time) would become her first Pokémon ever. Caela’s new life would then start from here with the new fellow and Venandi.” (This whole thing takes place after Sun & Moon and before Sword & Shield by the way. I am planning of having her be in the Galar region though for future Pokemon drawings. A full and much better detailed back cover will come in time.)
