Description The original concept for Miraculous Ladybug was a 2D, anime-style show - but when a test episode was created, the animators complained that the spotted outfit the main heroine wore was extremely difficult to draw. Thomas Astruc, the creator of the show, designed several alternative suits with fewer spots in response, but since the final product was ultimately created using CGI they were never used.

Here's all four designs in one place for easy comparison. I'd say the top left is my favorite, and since it has the fewest spots, I have to assume the animators would have preferred it as well. Trying to get the spots to look right on this twisted-around action pose certainly made me sympathetic to their plight...

I honestly wish we got Miraculous Ladybug in anime format instead of CGI format

I mean, at least it's reasonably good CGI.

True, though the quality seems to vary from time to time. Like some episodes are much more colorful compared to other episodes
