Description the end.

this is a tree i have wanted to photograph for months now. its way up on a hill on a farm near my apartment. finally went up and asked the people who own the land if i could walk up there and get some shots. they let me do so and even let me go in their stables to see their horses. im so happy i finally got this shot. i'll submit other versions later on.

Framed for the Gloomy Nature competition

this photo contains so much emotion... generally something fairly simple and yet it's the simple things that contain the most emotion... this is gorgeous

It DOES kinda look like the tree from the Ring...thats probably why this pic gives me an uneasy feeling... not that thats a bad thing! Its a good thing when a photo can evoke emotion...even if its a weird emotion.

This is wonderful...a shame, though, that quiet, poetical photos like these don't seem to attract many pageviews and comments. This photo would really deserve more attention. Amazing...

reminds me of the tree that they show in the movie 'the ring', that movie is messed up but this photo is really sweet. i love how you framed it. Wish there was a little color to it, i'm not sure how taht would add or not but it'd be interesting to see.

Love this photograph. Looks like the tree has almost met its end a few times already, it is a remarkable shape. And those clouds look suitable doomy and stark, gives a strong vibe to the piece.
