Description
This is a meme idea I had.Not because of this character, but to just try to at least be as good as on the screenshot.
The meme is easy, everyone can do it and it doesn´t matter how your image turns out, it is just interesting to see how the image you made turned out right beside the screenshot of the character you picked.
I used Stan for this small experiment because I draw him a lot lately anyway.
I am quite satisfied how they turned out, usually I am not good with drawing from images by looking at them.
You don´t have to make as many images as I did, one screenshot does it too LOL
I just wanted to make more than just one image.
However the rule is, just do not trace. These versions here I drew are not traced. I put the screenshots into the image first and left enough space for the version I did.
Not to mention put a little bit of your style into the image you draw, it doesn´t have to be a 1:1 copy of the screenshot.
I can´t do that anyway LOL
I used some of my style, Stan still looks like himself though, but I changed the colors of the lines to make it a little bit glossy and better quality plus I also added more hair peeking out from under his hat.
I noticed in the scenes where you see his face very closely they drew some hair, but in most scenes they didn´t.

I used to do this all the time with cartoons on video when I was a kid. I would pause it to help me draw better.

I didn´t pause or trace here. I wished I could trace those characters I loved when I was a kid, but I didn´t know how to do that.
I tried that with my lion king VHS but the paper wasn´t transparent enough.

I never traced, only paused the VCR and drew the pic. Cos you couldn't get screenshots back then. Though sometimes I'd take photos of the screen while it was paused.

Ahh ok, with paused you mean you stopped the video to see the single frame. Here in Germany we say pause not only to stop a video, but it is also another word for tracing.

Ich bastle mir gerade einen Bildschirmschoner mit Screenshots meines Lieblingscharakters. Inzwischen bin ich ja soweit fähig, das zu machen. Seitdem mich mein PC-Experte zu einem Laptop überredet hat und mich das Ding sehr glücklich macht, lerne ich immer mehr dazu. Seit einer Woche weiß ich auch, was Screenshots sind, habe ewig nach so einer Funktion gesucht. Zum Glück kann man das Internet fragen...

Ja wenn ich was nicht weiß über PC und sowas schaue ich immer auf google da finde ich auch alles was ich brauche.
Mir hat damals ein Mitbewohner in unserer alten Wohnung gezeigt wie man mit PowerDVD so einem DVD programm Screenshots macht. Glaube das war die erste Funktion die ich gelernt hab XD
Vorher habe ich immer nur in MS Paint gemalt, das ist so ein popliges Malprogramm von Microsoft was auf jedem PC standart ist.

Ja, MS Paint kenne und hasse ich.....
Mein Laptop hat für Screenshots eine Taste, "Druck S-Abf". Heißt, wenn du das Video im Vollbild-Modus mit "Pause" anhälst und dann diese Taste drückst, hast du's im Zwischenspeicher. Man kann es dann in Paint oder in ein anderes Grafikprogramm einfügen und als "jpg" oder "png" speichern.
Total einfach, wenn man weiß, wie es geht.

Die Taste geht bei manchen Programmen auch ohne auf Pause zu drücken, habe das schon bei internetstreams gemacht, da hat man eine bessere Bildqualität als wie bei youtube und hat dann wenn man auf Pause drückt kein doofes Play-symbol auf dem Bild, man muss nur im richtigen Augenblick drücken.
Ja Paint ist doof, welches Programm benutzt du denn?
Wenn du kein Photoshop hast, (mein PC hatte das schon vorinstalliert) dann lade dir doch Gimp herunter, das ist kostenlos und kann fast alles was man mit Photoshop auch machen kann.

Oh, das muss ich mal ausprobieren... Bestimmt geht das bei mir dann auch!
Also ich kenne Gimp von unserem alten PC, bevor ich meinen eigenen hatte und es war zu kompliziert für mich. Photoshop ist angeblich genauso kompliziert... Weißt du, mit Technik habe ich es nicht so, das ist nicht meine Welt. Mir reichen die paar Funktionen, die Paint und die Standard-Bildprogramme bieten. ich mache ja normalerweise nichts grafisch, sondern bearbeite höchstens mal paar Fotos für Website oder Artikel.

Gimp ist ähnlich wie Photoshop aber doch anders, hat aber die gleichen Fumktionen. Ich hab jahre gebraucht und bin auch auf eine spezielle Schule gegangen wo wir digitales Gestalten mit Photoshop 3 Jahre lang gelernt haben, es ist glaube ich eine Lebensaufgabe mit Photosop alles machen zu können was es kann, das muss man zum Teil auswenig lernen, die ganzen funktionen, und ich kann bei weiten nicht sehr viel, das meißte habe ich mir über die Jahre selber angeeignet und durch googles herausgefunden.
Die paar Vorkenntnisse die ich bekommen hab durch die Schule haben etwas dabei geholfen.

Ja stimmt, aber es ist auch ein Hobby von mir, wenn ich jetzt kein Interesse daran hätte wäre das nicht schlimm denn brauchen tue ich das nicht wirklich, Geld verdiehnen kann man damit auch nicht wirklich.
