ms-eerie — Echo Waits for Narcissism

I’ve definitely had the feeling for a while that I’m running out of ideas for modelling and shoots, although I am having a lot of fun doing it, its taking a bit of a strain on my creativity. So in order to counter act this ~Valentich suggested visiting the same place in the blue mountains that we shot the ‘Titania’ series .The first time I saw this red dress I hated it, then after putting in on I discovered that it accentuates all my waist – its extremely hard to find any clothing that does this. I’ve been racking my brain since I bought it trying to work out how to use it in an shoot. I guess it was more of a ‘fuck it, just put it on’ moment, rather than lots of planning, as you can see we used duct tape again, but in a slightly different manner.
I’m always a little conscious about the typical "pin-up" model, looks rather narcissistic, not that they don’t look good – but more that they’re more interested in looking good then you. I guess with my disposition and the rocks in the image, it reminded me of the story of Echo and Narcissus, although considering I’m not invisible or heartbroken I’m guessing it’s while Echo is watching Narcissus.
I know this is a really old set – I meant to upload it a few weeks ago, but in the rush of... well... everything – I completely forgot about it. I’ve got a few more that I need to put up, so expect to be flooded for a bit.

rhis is not as good as when u express in fewer colors and get them more sharp. it gets a better contrast when u got like 4 colors. BUT it is still good and i like the pic with the nature in the background.

I think that perhaps my favorite part of this piece is its title. Literarily speaking it's pretty wild, the idea of Echo waiting for Narcissism instead of Narcissus. It's something to think about.
Also the hotness, I do very much like the hotness.

I see that you are not the photographer, but the model in this picture, so I'm going to judge it based on what you do, not the picture itself, m'kay?
So it breaks down like this;
Hair
I do like the color of your hair, although I've never liked to see the roots of people's hair when they have such a dramatic color. The style is alright, but the top-back of your hair looks pretty messy, and it isn't catching any light. I think it would have been better if you had run a thin-toothed comb through it so thicker, more natural locks to pull together.
Makeup
Frankly, your makeup looks like my neighbor's and that's not a complement. The makeup in this pic looks like the stereotypical ghetto-latina makeup. The drawn-on eyebrows, and the dark lip liner. You have a nice natural shape to your eyebrows, and they looked a lot better when they were that soft-brown and left alone. Also, lip line is for people who have very thin lips and need to make them look fuller-that isn't a problem with you. It looks borderline tacky, and you don't need that much to look good.
Clothing
I do congratulate you on looking good in such an elaborately detailed dress, it would look ridiculous on most. Although, I agree with one of the other posters in saying that you'd look better without the fishnets. Fishnets work like measurement, they enhance how long one's legs are, but the also dramatize how wide they may be. Because you leg is somewhat pointing at the camera, this makes your legs look far shorter, rather than making them look long.
Pose
This pose is definitely a mix between leisure and pinup. I do think that the facial expression was a bit off, though. You look angry, and are looking to the side, which loses the relaxing effect and picks up more of an angry look. I think a better choice would have been to look at the camera either as a subtle sexy, or a sleepy-happy, that would have made the pose more natural.
Background/location
I think the rock behind you clashes a bit too much with your dress, although the soft grass/moss and flat rock emphasized the warm color of your skin, dress and hair.

I must disagree with the comment immediately above. I love---that is, *LOVE!!!!*---to see you in fishnet stockings. It is not that they make you Beautiful; it is that you make them Beautiful by wearing them. And, of course, the classic reference in the title is one more evidence of your poetic personality.

I've been scouting around DA looking as people's titles and I'm getting rather irritated with ones like "Park 1", "Park 2", "Park 3" etc... I like to show people that there are some sort of nueron signalling behind the keyboard.

I agree to an extent about any woman can look good in fishnets; but there are a very few women who look like the whole concept of stockings was invented just for them. You are one of those.

I'm not sure about them being 'invented' for me - to be honest it actually quite hard to find stockings in my size, not only am I a big girl, but I have quite long legs as well - I normally get thigh-high stay-ups because nothing else really works - although they do look great in photos

I think the dress does look good on you, its rather unique too, as for the pose its looks like its a mic of pin-up as well as just you relaxing and thinking.. I personally would have loved to not see you use the fishnet stockings, but its an older pic, but still very nice.

For a second, I thought that was a chinadress (qipao)....maybe that's an idea.

I have a few quipaos lined up - I'm just waiting on the right time to whip them out for a shoot - way too many ideas but not enough time to to shoot them.
