I colored this in GIMP. With a TRACK PAD. On a shitty MACBOOK.
THIS IS BETTER THAN STUFF I'VE DONE IN SAI WITH A TABLET. WTF??

Hey, what's wrong with the GIMP? I love the program. OK, yeah, I suppose it can be clunky at times, and hard to get used to, and rather user-unfriendly, and a lot of stuff that should be simple wind up taking multiple steps, and plugins/brushes aren't quite as numerous as they are for commercial programs, and... wait... I was supposed to be arguing for the GIMP, wasn't I? Heh, oh well
I rather like the final product here, particularly the composition and idea behind it. Awesome work

Haha I used to use GIMP a lot when I was just starting out! But then I found paint tool SAI and sorta broke up with GIMP and MS paint... yeah, it was nasty.

Yeah, the look on the GIMP's mascot's face makes him look like the kind of guy who'd take being broken up with rather badly. It's those shifty eyes I think, seems like he'd be the kind of guy to hide in the bushes weeks afterwards to see what this SAI bloke has that he doesn't, and then making drunken phone calls about it in the night, hehe.
I actually went the other direction, I went from Photoshop to the GIMP. I've only got a copy of CS2 though, so I've no idea what later versions are like. And I've heard great things about SAI, but I've never tried it myself. Sadly, I don't think it runs on Linux, but even if it did, I doubt I would have the spare cash lying around for it after having just picked up Poser 10. Ah well, could be worse I suppose, I could still be using only MS Paint

Reminds me of Studio Killers for some reason (probably the rainbow tears). Pretty awesome for something drawn on a track pad, how did you even do that gosh dangit.
