Description This Shot was Taken By J Routzohn while I was watching a bird fly across the sky as the sun was setting.
To me this indicates peace and simplicity at it's finest. We all need to get away from our busy lives sometimes, and taking in nature and all it's wonders can really leave you speechless.

"A woman is as beautiful as the soul she holds inside."

it's a great portrait. the nearly black foliage and the gold-tinted skin tones give us an idea of the time of day, either sunset (as you tell us it was!) or sunrise. pretty image here!

Thank you! I wasn't sure if it was going to be good enough or not. It was a rather random shot but I mean, I feel that's what this is suppose to be about. Capturing a woman when she's peaceful, happy, and just really being herself. I know it's of myself, and I did not take this photograph... but I did edit it. Again thank you for your comment.

it is a terrific photograph, and both you and the photographer used your talents very well to make it. the only worry i have is how...passive (i guess that's as close to the right word as i'm going to get) you look here. i wish the photo were more dynamic, you know?
but it is wonderful as what it is: a portrait. it's an informal portrait, which is grand! and it's a lovely image!

I understand what you mean. Thank you for you words, you always give me such great critiques on my work and I appreciate that very much.

you're welcome! i am doing the easy part, of course. thank you for your hard work!
as for my comments themselves, i like to use my schooling! i've had a lot of classes, but i'll never be any better than a 3rd-rate artist. who would want all those hours and dollars spent on art courses to go to waste? besides, when i comment, i'm usually trying to engage the artist in conversation, so perhaps i and/or she (or he) can learn a bit about the work and what was behind it. it's a win/win situation! i love those. (and i won't lie, i like to make people feel appreciated! nearly all of us who post on this site really enjoy getting comments, right?)

Right! There are some people who I've noticed are a bit touchy with their work if you criticize it in anyway but I mean I see it as you should want constructive criticism not someone just saying "it's alright" when there could truly be so much more said.
