Description Hey guys, I thought I would upload a (very) short tutorial in case it helps anyone interested in making a comic of their own. Feel free to ask any questions. This tutorial is far from comprehensive.
There are many free brushes and patterns even here on dA if you are wondering where to look.

Check out my youtube channel! I'm making new tutorials every week or so

I use this tutorial to make my panels. I'm trying to figure out which technique to use when it comes to making comics/manga. Do you draw your images first or the panels first? I can i use your way of making manga and this tutorial as well?

I typically will draw my panels first and then lineart inside so nothing gets cut off, but I recently started using procreate on my iPad. So now I go from sketch all the way to shading before importing the image back to photoshop and finalizing the panels. You know, I took a look at the tutorial and there is a different way I like to do my panels. It may be easier for you, and maybe not.
The very top layer (besides speech bubbles) I make a group. Activate your ruler (Apple R) and drag to where you want your divisions. Then you can go over the ruler with your line tool (I usually use 15 pixels) Use as many layers as you need to. When you're happy with your lines, you can clear guides (gets rid of ruler lines) and merge group (Apple E). For me, I find this is more simple.
