A gift for my boyfriend!

Adding the text, getting the eyes and background colored, and adding the watercolor later over the whole thing took around 5 hours, I don't remember how long the main body took me in colored pencil (a bit more progress than "WIP 1" in the stash folder was before the 5 hours).

I have made one edit to this since taking this picture and will be able to get a better photo later, but there's one of it before I set it to flatten the warping. sta.sh/21a58h2n283u I'll update this to show the final version when I can, but you can enjoy the all different versions!

So, who is Louie?
Louie was my boyfriend's mom's cat. He was an elderly cat and, shortly before my bf's birthday, had to get put down. He could no longer see, hear, walk, or even get to his food, so it was unfortunately for the best.

I wanted to make this as a sort of memorial for Louie, so they could all remember him.

With my bf's birthday celebration being a bit late, closer to Mother's Day now, I'll be giving it to both Luke and his mom as a combined birthday/Mother's Day gift for them.

Don't mind the letters in the corner, it's just my initials instead of my username, since this is a much more personal piece and it would just feel disrespectful, like advertising.
