Yeah, finished it! HatterRose 's Sailor Borealis - she is such a queen and omg I loved drawing her! I decided to draw a "simple" snowscape background with polar lights/ Aurora Borealis, of course (which wasn't simple at all ;o; ). We decided to add an Art Nouveau frame and Hatter wished for a blue hibiscus, too.I hope, you like the drawing, Hatti! Thank you very much for the commission and patience! And no worries, in real all borders/ lines in the frame are straight and even, lol. And also, from the photo I had to intensify the colours a bit, that's why there are some weird spots there, now. ;_; I really need a high-tec scanner one day.... u_u

Totes, I can NOT get over how lovely your backgrounds are. I am dying to know what your process is for developing the combination of scrollwork, enviroment, and flower motif are. It's so orginal and creative and unique. I also am curious to know how you get your blacks so smooth... lots of layering? The brightness of the lights is also gorgeous. this is just beautiful.

Awwww your comment melts my heart! ;o; And my process for the background? At first getting an idea, which came with the notes from Hatter immediately. Then I found the pose on an extra paper sheet and made the frame background on another sheet. I googled "Art Nouveau frames" (or borders, idk anymore) and opened the images and then took some ideas from here and there to create the frame. And then added elements like the circles on my own and tried to combine everything... Tadaa. :'D
And the blacks.... Lol why do you point this out.. XD I used the Prisma Marker black and I dislike it soooo much... But my other blacks are empty, lol. And so, yes, I had to do the blacks two times. u_u' XD
