Description In my journal, suggested that I draw a whimsical deer/elk. Now, I assure you the sketch started out as whimsical as can be haha, but the finished product is a bit gloomy. Oh well

This is great! I love the textures it has to it. It is almost watercolour like somehow. The creature itself is gorgeous, I love his haunting ribbon'esque tails and the skull face. I also really like the way you did the fur on the neck and chest, it looks excellent.

It is not gloomy, it looks triumphant I think.

but seriously whimsical elk or not this is one hot elkdeer with it's skull face n stuff.
i like your use of textures and shading together, and that elkydeer has some soft looking neck fur.
