Anyway, backstory time: I think one of my aunts is under the impression that I'm still a tween, because she keeps buying me subscriptions to Seventeen magazine. Which is very sweet of her, it really is, and I truly appreciate her thoughtfulness. But Seventeen magazine isn't exactly my thing. Like, at all. Art, however, IS my thing, and Seventeen magazine occasionally has nifty little pictures I can use for reference. So I guess my aunt's subscription worked out; I don't read the articles about "How to Be a Good Kisser LOLOMG," but I DO tear out the pictures of said kissers and use them to draw anatomically-incorrect Victorians.

(Seriously, what the heck, me? Jasper's head is huge. Or Elise's head is tiny. I can kid myself into saying that it looks better in real life.)

I did this in ballpoint pen, which is the reason why I really couldn't do anything to fix their wonky heads save for crumpling up the whole thing and starting over. And clearly, I was more focused on "hurr hurr ballpoint pen is fun!" than "hurr hurr, anatomy is fun!"

Ballpoint pen IS fun, though. WAY too much fun. But I still might give this another go in the future so I can correct their stupid heads.

Also, when I first drew Jasper, he looked eerily like Steve Carell, so I had to wrestle with that, too. STOP KISSING ELISE, STEVE CARELL.
