More work from my senior year of high school. This piece was too big for the scanner to pick up the whole thing. It's matted on ripped cardboard that I had way too much fun ripping and beating up.
This is probably my favorite thing I've ever done. I don't know why. There's something about it that I just love--which is weird, because usually when I finish a piece, all I see are flaws and I want to either fix it or chuck it in the bin.
The stock image just sort of captivated me. There's something about the man's face that was extraordinarily noble, and I tried to capture that in this piece.

I really like the expression! He seems... Well, I wouldn't say weary, but it looks as though he's been through quite a bit.
