Brief History:
Poppy was born in Egypt in the usual way. Mommy met her daddy when he came to work abroad from the USA. He was a foreign affairs journalist getting back in touch with his roots and she worked as a secretary, as her people had done in Egypt for years. Both were Serpopards, and quickly found each other and fell into a relationship. It wasn’t the most stable relationship, but it held together as neither was willing to let go.

As a result, Poppy was born and while her parents didn’t show affection to each other all the time, they did to Poppy. Perhaps a bit too much. She was pampered and often times each parent would use their presents as a way to sway Poppy to their side. So, spoiled and yet given very little true attention, Poppy began to feel resentment. She lit fires and liked to pick on smaller animals to feel big.

As she grew older, she watched as protestors went in the streets and when the fights broke out, she was there watching. Terrified, but oddly also entranced, she watched as people turned on each other. It was chaos, and she loved it. As the smoke cleared and the chaos subsided she went home and waited. And waited. Eventually she went looking as she was hungry. She had never been hungry before, and it was strange. However, instead of finding food, she found herself an orphan. Her parents had been caught in the protests and, due to their stations, had been targeted and killed. The news didn’t really sink in, it still really hasn’t, and the young child was sent to an orphanage.

Life there didn’t last long however… Poppy often got into fights and, as a young monster, didn’t do well in hiding her form. She shifted often, terrorizing the other children then gaslighting the heck out of them to the staff who adored her. She was quickly discovered by one of the radical reformist groups who did believe the children and scooped up. They trained her in martial arts and had plans to use her as a weapon. They had only had the chance to send her on one mission when they were raided by a man. A single guy. Poppy stared at the black haired Goliath that had just toppled her world once again and grinned. This guy would be fun to play with~

Other/Fun Facts:
-Serpopards are often depicted as creatures of thinly contained chaos and depictions of their capture represent the unification of Egypt. Poppy was born of the opposite.
-She follows Aleksei out of pure curiosity. She would happily leave the Eyes if she found something more interesting (but she wouldn’t tell them that)
-She enjoys her work immensely, probably a little too much. She loves toying with her prey before pouncing
