if i understand this correct, the collab is not of the pens/graphite on a single page, but rather a combined and diverse effort to ellaborate the same theme?

your interpretation brings to mind for me the practices (superstitious and otherwise) surrounding death (i.e., praying for the soul, catching the last breath, the disproportionate amount of time and interest paid to the dying in relation to the same in life, etc.). nice work. my only suggestion is that perhaps this would look better if some of the inking (the background and shadowing on the mourners) were darker. though perhaps this is just the scan quality.

Yes it was a combine effort to elaborate the same theme. The interpretation is done using feelings of the word and associations. It was not the scan, the drawing was finish like that, i would love to dark more those areas. I see it as the last breath or the last though, in this last moment the body is so afraid that hold himself using all his centers to earth, the subject is being watch by his Guides. But like I say death is the unknown, I can only interpret.

awesome! i know i've mentioned it before, but i love your art! it's awesome to look at and there is always something going on beyond the static picture that i am used to seeing in most artwork. and thanks for darkening the pen...it feels more finished now and seems to draw attention to the one who is dying.

as for myself, i'm doing well. i'm in town teaching english for a month and i'm starting my second week with students. i've been drawing a bit, so hopefully i'll be putting fun new stuff up soon.

i'm currently deciding if i want to stay with da, but even if i leave, i'll stop in and check up on things occasionally.

hope things are well with you...all the best!
