Well sorta, not painted in real life, but digitally on the computer. The master mind who helped me figure this technique out is of course. He taught me how to use photoshop to bring the painting of yenny to life! Hope ya'll dig, I really enjoy seeing my model painted for once! More sculptures to come.Related content

the detail and faith to the original artists' style that is obvious in your sculpture hardly seems possible *_*;; it's incredible the things you do. I wish I could grab you for a commission but you've got a list going out the door XD I'm happy just to look at what you come out with, it's all so amazing.

Very nice Alena! For a second I didn't believe you that it was digitally done, but I had to see it full-size. You shouldn't have told anyone it was digitally done and you could've fooled all of us!

Hope all is well out in NY! I'll be sending my reel out to Blue Sky soon. I just finished a dialogue in maya and plan to do about 3 more before sending my reels out...again.
AAAAnd I landed a freelance position as a 2d animator and background artist in LA. It's on a short film at a small studio, but some cool contacts!
I've been slackin on posting on here, but maybe again someday...

HEYA!! I thought you weren't on DA anymore!! Glad to see you back in action..hehe. I'm actually back in Colorado..hehe NY didn't work out for me, but that's another story. This message is about you....I want to see your demo reel!!! If you send it directly to Jeff, he can turn it in for you and you will have a better chance....they will be starting on Horton soon, so I'm assuming they will either let go some animators and condense the workload or hire on more...or maybe people will just go to another company *shrugs* either way, let me know when you're goign to send it...

Really cool. I must say I prefer the 3D version, the proportions are less exagerated

Very nice, at first glance I thought this was actually hand painted, which had me really excited. At reading it was a digital painting, I was only slightly disheartened. It looks truly fantastic! Great work. The only problem I have with the piece is that there are a few places where you seem to have colored ouside the 'lines' (around the hair and the legs). At any rate, it gooks very nice. I'd love to see more in the future.
