Description My first set of resin pendants.

Top Left to Right: "The Disguise" I was laughing pretty hard when I made that one. I was referring to it as my chest piece disguise. I thought just in case my tattoo needed to go incognito.
"Glitter Cliche" for the suicidal glitter lover.
"Texas Whore" Featuring a print of one of my favourite pin ups.

Bottom Left to Right: "Psycho Kitten" Featuring a print of another one of my favourite girls!
"Drop Dead" a one of a kind Zomba girl painting is trapped in there!
"Eyeball Bats" I actually made six of these cute little purple guys.

This first selection of pieces will be available for purchase this year at Fan Expo Toronto.

Thanks! I think this is kind of hard, a lot of people are just sticking anything under resin to make pendants, but I'm making an effort to hand paint at least 50% of the ones I make. It brings a little more to the pieces I think. I also vow not to just use other people work to make stuff...I see that a lot and it just turns me off. All of the ones I make will be 100% my work.

Of course it adds more, when you handpaint and when you use your own artwork. And i think its more fun for other people to buy them too, when they know its art from the original artist and not just copy&paste random pinup from google.
was it hard? what is resin? was it expensive? i have a friends birthday coming up and i want to do a cute pin for her

resin is an epoxy that comes in two parts. You mix the equal parts of resin and catalyst ((hardener)) or whatever ratio is suggested with brand you are using to achieve a hard plastic coating that almost resembles glass. It is very durable! but can yellow a bit with too much water or sun exposure. It ranges in price but I got about 500ml for about 20$ which is enough to do a ton of small projects. You can also usually find backings for cameo type necklaces at craft or bead stores...or even make you own molds if you are daring enough. I've actually just been using blister packs from junk at the dollar store. I open the package, save that plastic bit that covers the item and pour my resin into it. This way is a one time use but I try to but items I might use so I'm not wasting too much money. There are molds for the resin online that you can buy but I find everyone is using the same set of molds so I've been trying to think outside of the box If you want to make more than a few things its worth it. The only draw back is that it is extremely messy and a bitch to clean up. I managed to pretty much ruin my drafting table...but I kinda need a new one soon anyways so I'll keep one for destruction mode and one for drawing!

Very cool, you do cover all your bases. Just need a lil MLM jewellery box to keep them in

Actually...as we speak I'm designing a little display for them, just for when I bring them to any events. It's going to be a cut out standee, of a vintage inspired cigarette girl, just from the bust up, the jewelry will then rest inside what will look like the box of treats she carries around

Now that is some time invested! Did you end up selling that one? I'd love to get my hands on one of those Darth Vader helmets that all those artists worked on for that big group auction. The Comic Con is the last weekend of August
27th-29th
