Welcome to the first of Yoli’s tutorials!

This one is about sketching wolves for those who find canines tough to draw. I am aware that some of my terminology for the various parts of a wolf might be wrong (as many of the terms are actually horse terms) but I included a little labeled diagram to show you what I mean.

I am also aware that there are MANY people out they who are WAY better at drawing than I am and also that many people have different styles of drawing wolves, but this is just my way of doing it.

The other tutorials that I will be doing are (links will be added once they are complete):
1) Lineart and shading in MsPaint
2) Shading and fur texture in Adobe PhotoShop7

If you find that you’re still having problems with your sketches (perhaps they’re still looking unbalanced or something like that), then upload them to your scraps and send me a link and I’ll try and help you out.

The only thing I didn’t add was shape-drawing with different poses as I thought the tutorial was long enough, but if you would like me to show you how the shapes help with various poses, let me know and I’ll add an addendum.
