I did it with a pencil, two polychromos (Pale Geranium Lake and Dark Red) and an eraser ^^~

Really? I can never seem to get hair shades right. It looks ruffled and natural..You're welocme.

hrm... you need at least two colours which are similar and a 'casual' hand ^^
At first the light colour, then the dark for shadings and at last an eraser for the highlights...
You may work with opaque white, too.
Same works with copics (without the eraser, there you could use the blender)
