I'm having fun with the von Brandt subjects again, those ubiquitous characters from my stories: Roderick, Eveline, Mariel, and Varick, aged 9, 14, 11, and 12, respectively. Eveline's still in girl clothes, though she's turning into a young woman (and that's a bad thing, for her), Varick's starting to grow his hair out, Mariel's still a skinny, prepubescent little thing, and Roddy's finally plumping up after being "infirm" for so many years (he's a little less happy about his life, too, you can tell . . . ).

Things I like: They look like themselves (well, how I picture them, and, hey, since I write them-- well, CO-write them-- that's how they DO like, muhaha . . . ), and are actually in proportion to one another. Their outfits are actually rather period, too . . .

Things I don't like: Varick looks like a stoner. However, this may not be too far off-base . . . though, at 12, I don't know . . . perhaps I could just say he has two black eyes. That would be in keeping with the plot.
