Personality: Pink sapphire is a sweet heart with a dark streak whenever someone close to her is threatened. She may be tiny, but she is relentless and merciless when she needs to be. That is the only way she was able to survive for so long. Having to live in harsh conditions, Sophie has developed a hard emotional shell. Being starved of gem interaction and affection, she is incredibly cuddly and loving. With what she's gone through, Sophie treasures all relationships and will protect them at all costs. Although she loves interacting with other gems, Sophie is usually extremely shy and anxious upon first encounter when it comes to making new friends. Sometimes you can catch Sophie with a far away look in her eye since her mind tends to stray often; because of that, she loses chunks of a conversation, leaving her confused.

Backstory: Being a defect sapphire, Sophie was faced with her gem being shattered. Luckily she was able to find a way to escape home world. But to her dismay, her ship malfunctioned, leaving her stranded on a strange planet. It was barren and the weather was harsh. It was a rare occurrence for her to find dependable shelter and there was no one else to socialize with so it got very lonely. Sophie almost lost her mind due to the conditions she was under. In order to trick herself into thinking things were better than they actually were, she forced herself to smile constantly. Due to this, no matter what emotion she is feeling inwardly, she'll always smile outwardly. Having to move constantly in search of sturdy shelter, Sophie eventually stumbled upon a communications tower, half buried in sand. After several hours she was able to tunnel her way in and get the tower running again. She managed to send out a distress signal and she was taken aboard a mercenary ship. She was under the impression that they were there to rescue her, but they planned to take her back to home world and collect a bounty. Upon discovering this, Sophie stole an escape pod and ended up at the Starburst Cafe where she finally felt she belonged.
