Yes, In the Nexverse Jinbe, Knight of the Sea Mentor and teach Spongebob how to use Fishmen Karate.

This took Place During the Two-Year Time skip. Jinbe traveled to the Bikini bottom (In the Nexverse, Bikini bottom is a Fishman Island.) Traveled to Bikini Bottom to aid the citizen (the People of bikini-Bottom have been terrorized a rampaging Sea King nicknamed " The Tyrant of the blues.") During his time in Bikini Bottom, Jinbe was approached by Spongebob.

After watching the Paramount War, Spongebob became inspired by Whitebeard to become stronger. Spongebob hearing that the famous Knight of the sea was in bikini bottom, Spongebob beg Jinbe to train him.

At First Jinbe was unsure about training Spongebob, but after witnessing the young sponge's determination and spirit, Jinbe agree to train Spongebob. During his time in bikini bottom, Jinbe taught Spongebob what he knew about Fishman Karate.

Here Spongebob became very skilled in Fishman Karate (Though not on the Level as Jinbe, But still very impressive.). In fact, Spongebob developed unique techniques of Fishman Karate with his Sponge Biology.

When it was Time for Jinbe to return back to Fishman Island, though spongebob was sad to see his teacher leave, he promises to continue his training until he can become strong as Jinbe.
