I haven't submitted anything for some time now because I was so diligent. :3
I made 3 cosplays in the meantime:
Kallen Kozouki from Code Geass,
Serah Farron from Final Fantasy 13-2 aaand of course
Talim from Soul Calibur 4.
It's hard to believe this photo was taken in the middle of an overcrowded exhibition hall. Well not exactly in the middle but there were countless people passing by every second (and giving us strange looks XD).
Just like last year with my Tyrande cosplay Vincent took some of the most beautiful photos of my Talim cosplay ^o^
I really love the composing and how the colors of the costume contrast with the bright and clean background *o*
Sometimes a nice background is just round the corner. ^^"

Talented? I guess not. ^^ It took me 8 years to come this far while other cosplayers are able to build an awesome looking full armor as their first costume. THAT'S talented.

Oh dear.. I better not show close-ups of them because they're makeshifts. XD Made them in one night and they look pretty sloppy ^^" But currently I'm reworking them a bit and as soon as I'm done with it, I'll post close-ups.
They are each made of 4 layers of carton (6 for the handle) and covered with Wonderflex for more stability. A bit of putty here and there to smooth out some holes and that's it.

Yes I did but if you were looking for a Talim it's no surprise you didn't see me... I only wore it for a few hours on saturday because I forgot several things at home (stupid me -.-) and felt extremely naked and uncomfortable so I changed back to normal clothes.
The other two days I wore Serah from FF 13-2. :3

No, for me it's just that my real name Katerina means 'Pure' in greek. My middle name 'Helena' means 'Light' in greek and Healer just relates to my interest in the career I'm studying for - Biomedicine

The costume is simply amazing. It looks like as if it was made for a feature length film. The photography is also well done, very crisp and clear. The Tonfas are also quite amazing. Not to mention that you look practically exactly like Talim.

When some friends of mine announced a Soul Calibur group I had a bit of trouble finding a fitting character and was happy nobody else wanted to cosplay Talim so far.
I really like Talim and I guess I'll make one or two other outfits from her aswell.

If I could a suggestion, why not try her two alternative costumes in Soul Calibur 2. Or something more exotic there's her 2nd costume in Soul Calibur 5, but that one makes her into a cat girl.

The yellow one is to revealing for me but the one with the red shorts and pink top looks great (and comfortable XD).

Though my weapons were a makeshift... I made them in one night because I really wanted to have weapons and droped some other details for that like the little back on her belt.
My first two attempts failed horribly because of the bad quality of my material. -.-
