So nearly every morning I have to sit with my nephews while they do virtual school. And while they learn numbers and crap I sit at my desk and try to stay awake - I am in no shape or form a morning person. Recently I created an OC for Gargoyles... a full 25 years after the show ended. Yes, Gargoyles is really old but still an amazing show. Great voice acting, great deigns, great character development, solid magic system - it was created by Greg Weisman!!! The same guy who made Young Justice. The man knows how to make a competent story. One of his best ideas was Owen Burnett/Puck - Aside for Elisa, Owen has always been my favorite character. You wouldn't know it because back in '95 I mostly drew Demona (I'm gonna search for those old drawing hopefully I still have a few in the basement). But now I've been drawing Owen in the mornings. He's really easy to get - his face is SO angular everything lines up. Hardest part is figuring out his hair, I ended up giving him a bit of a swoop back pompadour to explain the triangle shape in the front. My favorite part of his design has got to be his 'bedroom eyes'. People often assume Owen is bored (or boring) because of his near expressionless features and dead pan voice BUT my head canon is that he just has bedroom eyes which basically means his eyes are naturally half lid all the time. As oppose to Puck who is just wide eyed and bushy tailed all the time. Also he changes his hair slightly when he's at home with Nico. Or rather it gets messed up the more time they spend in each other's company

I created Nico about a week ago and have been having so much fun designing him and figuring out his personality. When ever I make a new OC I make them into a sim and that way I really get to see how things would go between them and the canon character. I've only played as Owen and Nico twice but they are already best friends Working on getting them to flirt with each other but Owen is so serious that Nico thinks that he's making fun of him all the time. Something else I noticed about the fandom is that people prefer Puck. I decided to go the other way with Nico. He like Owen more. Because he himself is such a mess of a person he loves Owen's steadfast stability and levelheadedness. He doesn't realize he dislikes Puck because they are so much alike LOL.

Canonically Owen is asexual - legit the man that created him said that so it's true. His relationship with Nico is obviously just another aspect of Puck's 'act'. 'Owen' simply got lonely and wanted someone fun to spend his life with. After all he gets paid a ridiculous amount of money working for Xanatos and what's a fairy to do with human money? Spoil his boyfriend rotten with it of course. It certainly softened the blow of finding out he's this weird magic creature. Still takes Nico a minute to get that Owen and Puck are the same person. Not even a split personality, just the same guy doing a bit.
