Description Oil on Canvas board 22" x 28""
2000
Fear is an emotion that can be useful, but when fear begins to rule one's life the result is devastation. Notice that the "spirit" of the person is holding on to the fear illustrating that we have a choice. We can choose to hold on to our fear and become stuck in a desert of misunderstanding and loneliness.

thanks...if you stare at it long enough the clouds appear to be moving in the background. Or at least they do when I stare...

they kinda do actually. I was wondering. do you paint for a living? and where in the heck are you???

I try to paint for a living, but extreme pain makes my story sound a lot like Frida Kahlo's. So I paint when my body allows. It's been a three year hiatus, but I'm getting ready to get back to painting as I'm really beginning to miss it.

Do I make a living at it. Heck no! LOL.... We just can't figure out quite where I belong and gallery hunting when you are ill in bed isn't easy, but with the help of family and friends one day I plan on getting there. With my kids growing up they may become my greatest salesmen.

Thanks for your interest and take care!

I love your work a lot, not only because of the creativity that you show in every single one of your pieces and the time that is evident, but also because of the held messages that lie within. This is a very constructive piece, I love how you put life and meaning into this. Brilliant job.

Nice piece. I like all the detail and the flowing of the detail. It does capture an emotion that is for sure. I'm fascinated by how you got the sun to seem to glow.

Thank you! The majic of oil paints is the only reason I can give for the sun effect. I used a very light feather brush to brush out the light from the source.

Thanks for stopping by!
