For the Fall Prompt, I wanted to do Alderroot.

For Alderroot, I chose him cause I always enjoy watching a character go through trials over and over, and coming out as a different cat. Alder definitely changed since he was a kit, going back to see how cheerful he is to the current uneasy, earnest yet doubtful tom that he is now. And with the direction that his character arc is going, I'm really curious to see how his character will shift as a result.

Not only do I love his current development, but I wanted to practice using saturated colors in shading. Normally I have super dark colors for shading with nothing as a light source, so this light source being a mild yellow was a slight yet particular change that I am happy about. And looking at it, it's got a halloween theme, which is pretty appropriate considering Alderroot's character arc and how this is the Fall Prompt : D

I'm super excited for the next prompt. I'm not improving like a genius artist, but I am definitely getting the hang of backgrounds and shading so I'm really happy I could practice it with these prompts : DDD
