A new Spirit OC I came up with.

Name: "No Good"

Species/Breed:

Purebred Coyote

Age:

4 years old

Color:

Grey, dark brown, tan, black and white

Distinguishing Features:

Inner-ear hair is curved inwards to look like little horns. Has whiskers; upper fangs always showing even when his mouth is closed.

Parents: Unknown

Siblings: Unknown

Mate: None (doesn't want to be tied down)

Pups: None

Pack/Friends: None (he's a loner, plus no one trusts him)

Personality:

Kiniving, clever, cunning, trickster, sarcastic, arrogant, impish. The kind of fellow you shouldn't leave alone with your kids or your grandmother.

Likes:

Making deals, traveling, tricking others out of their food or territory.

Dislikes:

Guns, traps, shiny objects (shiny things in the distant are usually guns and shiny things on the ground are usually traps), snares, losing out on a good deal.

Bio:

Born and raised like a normal coyote. Lives by the Code of the Coyotes: do what you must to survive. No Good took this to a whole new level. Rather then stealing food and territory as is the traditional coyote way, he makes deals with other species. He 'helps them' (not really) and in exchange, they give him food or parts of their territory. No Good always comes out the winner, however, because even though the other party keeps their part of the bargain, No Good often makes off with the prize by only doing half of his job and ultimately, causing the animal he's supposed to be helping to lose their food AND their territory. He's known throughout the west as they guy you DON'T want around your family. But when danger arises, No Good is always there to strike a deal. Most animals have learned to avoid his deals, but others are too desperate to refuse him.

Relationship with Spirit:

After being home for a few years, another group of two-leggeds wander into the Cimarron Valley, and Spirit realizes he's developed a terrible phobia of humans. Each time he seem the light of their campfire, he moves his herd to the opposite end of the Valley. He will do this at all hours of the night, his fear driving the tired herd through the trecherous night. He considers enlisting the help of the famed Coyote, No Good, but Rain informs Spirit that No Good is nothing but trouble and should be avoided at all costs. Then, one night after seeing man's fire in the distance, Spirit drives his herd across the raging river. The act almost caused him to lose 3 foals downstream. Realizing he needs help to keep the human off his land, he hires No Good (in secret...his herd doesn't know about this).

In exchange for No Good leading the human away from the Valley, he demands Spirit's territory as his new hunting grounds. Spirit agrees to this (under the condition that No Good only hunts at night), and his Valley soon becomes human-free. However, when word hits the humans about the rogue coyote causing so many problems, an entire hunting party is sent to the Valley. This puts Spirit into a great panic. No Good sees this as an opportunity and strikes another deal with Spirit...he'll lead the humans so far away, they'll never come back to the Valley again. But in exchange, he wants the entire Cimarron Valley during the day and night. Spirit reluctantly agrees and No Good leads the humans very far away.

Upon his return, No Good makes the Cimarron Valley his own personal restaurant. When the other horses find out, they tell Spirit that they don't want No Good around anymore. When Spirit approaches the coyote and tells him the deal is off, No Good reminds Spirit that the deal binding, and if the stallion wants, No Good could very well lead the humans right back to Spirit's precious Valley and he could lose it and his herd altogether.

Spirit becomes torn between the well-being of his herd and the deal he made with that slimy trickster, No Good.
