Description Another Peter Pan drawing from me
I just loooovve them as a couple, they're just so cute!!

It's a pretty quick drawing and a lot of anatomy stuff is not right and I'm also not quite satisfied with the colouring either. I will draw them more often to get better skilled

It was very fun to 'alter' the characters a bit. Maybe I altered Wendy too much? I've always loved her having her hair loose though.. And her Nightgown needed changes in my opinion since the original one looks more like an ordinary dress to me than a nightgown.
And thank goodness!! I got rid of Peter's tights!!
He's very much a boy and boys just shouldn't wear tights, do we agree??

I plan to alter Peter's outfit more in upcoming drawings. I love his design in the refrence I used for this drawing and I plan to change his outfit more into this:

Very nice. I like how you changed Wendy, and gave her the accorn pendant. And I agree with you about Peter. And why not? The "official" way Peter is shown by Disney, with the tights, was taken from how he was often shown on stage, basically for ease of animation. But the boy who never grew up has been shown in many different variations of outfit, also, this one more shows how it is plant based, as was mentioned in the original book.

The Starcatchers series (Peter and the Starcatchers, etc) is an amazing book written by Ridley Pearson and Dave Barry and it's the prequel to Peter Pan - how he got to Neverland, the reason he never grows old, etc. I can't give away too much though, but the locket that I thought was on Wendy belonged to her mother, Molly, and held the "Pixie Dust".

Wendy's mother's named Mary in Peter Pan written by J.M. Barrie.
ahh well.. you know, I googled the starcatcher books and ordered the first three books of the serie. They weren't even that expensive.

Are they official sequels or just made up stories?

It's explained in the fourth book that George convinced Molly to change her name to Mary because it was more mature and less childish. Jerk.

They aren't "official" like Peter Pan in Scarlet, but they're still amazing.

haha, well I wish Peter Pan in scarlet wasn't official either cuz' I don't like it at all.
It's not very loyal to the original, like the fact Peter can't fly without his shadow in Peter Pan in scarlet. But how did Peter get to the Darling house to find his shadow if he wasn't able to fly at the time?
Nana strapped it off so if he couldn't fly, he would have fallen down and then mrs. Darling would have found him.

and there are more things like these.
I'd like to read the Starcatchers series.

I agree, it's not very loyal at all, but I still absolutely adore everything Peter Pan related. I liked how the author wrote Scarlet, though, the tone was pretty reminiscent of J. M. Barry's.

Haven't got it yet. The delivery time is about a wheek so I think I'll get it in about 4-5 days.
I'll let you know what I think of the books when I read them.

btw: if you're interested, There is a Peter Pan drawing coming up from me. I don't know when I'll upload it cuz' at the moment I'm a little stuck. I've already drawn Peter in a flying position in the upper right corner of the sheet but I can't come up with an idea to finish the drawing!!

It was just lovely... I've read the book a hundred times and it's such a sad part when Peter discovers Wendy has grown up..
And yet, it's a very satisfying ending!
