It's been way too long since I've done a full background. I should do that more often
Β So the story behind this drawing is that I was actually a little stuck on art ideas. I just didn't know what to draw and I really wanted to. I'm in a very busy time right now so when I get some spare time, I'd like to just sit down and draw instantly. But the ideas were just... empty. So I had a little poll on instagram and I asked people about my oc's and in what setting I should draw them. And with the help of all the people there, the ideas started flowing
One of the suggestions was Laura reading to her kids. I wanted to do a drawing of Laura reading to her boys and I'll probably do another one where she reads to her daughter Ivy.Β

This is great. Β Laura is passing down the gift of knowledge to her two sons, opening the world of research and learning through reading a book. As a librarian, I am always elated when I see pictures of (mer)people reading, "traveling to far off lands without leaving your room". Β Is that a seal plush I see in Kai Jr.'s arms? Β Lucan looks cute too, but I think the cutest here has to be Laura.
