Hunstanton, March 2008.PinHolga and Ilford Pan F (toned in PS)
Typical Holga. Just when I thought I had got my head around the exposure times on this homemade PinHolga something else happens. Serious light leakage happened but i'm not sure if it was whilst shooting or because the film wasn't rolled tight enough after I took it out the camera. Either way it's another lesson to NEVER think you have sussed out the Holga.
I do like the effect though so no great loss

but... holga MEANS light leaks!
the weather makes this shot worthwhile. if the sky was a neutral shade of nothing, it wouldn't add such a moody feel. the light leaks and noticeable grain actually add to this effect: i feel as though i should be looking at this on a rainy day.

It does indeed mean light leaks BUT when you've taped the hell out of it and it still leaks as much as it has.. Comes as unexpected. Welcome but unexpected
Was shot on a pretty sunny and clear day but I waited til the half light of evening to shoot.

that's my favourite time to shoot. nice warm lighting, although it doesn't last very long. i can shoot maybe one roll in that window, but then it gets too dark.

yes, in fact, the light leak adds something to the photograph
